Chapter 7.3

Good evening, I hope you all had an exciting weekend and enjoyed the sunny weather we had.
In math we are moving on with Geometry and learning about TRIANGLES and their properties.  There are a sloo of vocabulary words this section, as a matter of fact, the whole chapter, and once these are learned and used, the chapter seems straight forward. So far we have covered angles, whether they be acute angles (smaller than 90*) or obtuse angles (larger than 90*) or exactly the p)erfect RIGHT angle at 90*.  We talked about the special pairs of angles; vertical (opposite and congruent); complementary angles (pair of angles that add up to 90*; or supplementary angles ( pair of angles that add up to 180*).
Using this knowledge on angles, we are moving on with TRIANGLES.  Triangles are 3 sided polygons.  So they have 3 angles and 3 sides.  And that is how they get classified by: the angles and sides!  If you are talking about ANGLES- the triangles are called Acute Triangles, Obtuse Triangles or Right Triangles.  If you are talking about the SIDES of the triangles they are called: Scalene Triangles 9 no sides  the same length, Isosceles Triangle
(2 sides equal length) or Equilateral Triangles (all sides equal length)
The properties of Triangles are that EVERY TRIANGLE has the total inside angle measurement of 180*

Not sure who this little pup owns, but she sure is a cutie.  Let me know who is owned by her.... Just found out that this little one owns Evelyn!!!

These are classroom videos of student work!!!!

Homework: Read the blog, watch the videos and take notes on 7.3

As always in MATH,
Mrs M
