Good Evening to all,
Today we are looking into another way to solve problems using percents with PERCENT EQUATIONS.
This is so similar to the last lesson, Percent Proportions! In this lesson, use can use the chart on page 130 to help you along with solving. You are solving for three things again : finding the percent, whole or part.
So put this chart inside your graphic organizer in this lesson along with examples of each type.
Personally, I find that the 3 types of equations in each of the lessons wordy. So, if you find it this way also, listen to the 2.3 OVERVIEW. The overview is when you are transforming the words into math symbols: for examples
is = (equals)
of *(multiply)
What = X( what you are solving for)
Bet this helps, right? Watch the videos and see if it makes sense. Ask questions as usual if you have any when we summarize in the morning.
PS: There are at least 2 MISTAKES on the titles of the videos today. Find them and write them in your working spiral!!!
